what a perfectly sweet way to start 2010.  laura and norman’s wedding.  i met laura in their hotel room a couple of hours before the intimate ceremony at st. mary’s by the sea.  when i arrived, i was completely out of breath after walking up some stairs on what felt like the hottest day on record.  laura asked me if i walked over – rydges resort is just across the road from my place – to which i shamefully replied “ah, from the carpark…”  pitiful – i’m so unfit.  norman was sitting down by the pool trying to relax, apparently a little nervous of what lay ahead of him.  laura and norman are simply adorable and it was a nice way to spend the afternoon – despite the heat, the sweat, the mosquitoes feasting on us and the sun burning my retina – there is nothing i would rather do than clown around with a couple of newly weds, completely in love and embracing life on a stinking hot Port Douglas day.

the vows were unique and told the story of how they met in a fairytale narrative, i don’t have it now but will post it with the bride and groom’s permission, soon… and here it is  – a fairytale.
